About
Our mission is to help people know who God is, what God has done for us through Jesus Christ, and how that changes everything.
We aim to carry out that vision through our Sunday morning worship services, children’s and youth ministries, Hand-in-Hand (our special needs/accommodations ministry), and through various midweek groups and Bible studies. We are affiliated with the Acts 29 Church Planting Network.
Our Story
In the summer of 2023, several families moved to Metamora and joined with residents of Metamora and the surrounding towns who had a vision for a new, gospel-centered, disciple-making, church-planting church. This growing team of individuals and families worked, planned, prayed, and played together throughout the summer towards the goal of making their vision a reality. On September 24, 2023, we had our first church service as Partridge Point Community Church.
We are a church that believes…
-
Jesus is necessary
Although our natural tendency is to look to our own abilities, resources, and strategies to overcome our failures, weaknesses, and problems, our conviction is that our ultimate need is met in Jesus. It is Jesus that makes us right with God. It is Jesus that gives us spiritual life. It is Jesus that changes and transforms us from the inside-out.
-
Jesus is better
Although our natural tendency is to find happiness through living for ourselves and what’s in it for us, our conviction is that all that we have in Jesus is better than anything else this world offers – that Jesus is our true treasure.
-
Jesus is with us
Although our natural tendency is to trust in ourselves and to hide weaknesses from God and others, our conviction is that Jesus is with us to powerfully help and provide for us through His Word, His Spirit, and His people.
Statement of Faith
We believe that a clear and reasonable expression of our faith is The Gospel Coalition Statement of Faith. This confession will be an aid to us in times of controversy, a confirmation of our faith, and a means of building us up towards Christ-likeness in helping us understand the riches of God’s grace and truth revealed to us through the Holy Scriptures.
Our Leadership Team
Jon Bricker

Jon served Charis as her lead pastor until, with the help and support of Charis, moving to Metamora in June of ‘23 to lead the planting of Partridge Point. Beth grew up in Alton, IL and attended college at ISU where she got a bachelor degree in Computer Science and also met her husband, Jon. She became a Christian while in college which led to a change in career choice after graduation. Her love for Jesus, teaching and children led to a few years of teaching at a local christian school. She later started the children’s ministry at Charis Community Church that she directed for 4 years and also began an in-home Christian preschool. Her favorite job has been raising her 3 boys.
